St. Agnes

St. Agnes

The church of Sant’Agnese in Agone in Piazza Navona has the head-relic of the young saint (†304), who was martyred during the persecution of Domitian. The church also has the font in which St. Frances of Rome was baptized. The inscription above reads: “Agnes most holy.”
