San Luigi dei Francesi

San Luigi dei Francesi

This inscription, in the French national church San Luigi dei Francesi in Rome reads: “Whoever prays for the King of France gets a 10 day indulgence from Pope Innocent IV.” The rest of the inscription cites the works of St. Thomas Aquinas from which the text was taken. This church also has the first three great religious works of Caravaggio.
