Santa Maria in Vallicella (Chiesa Nuova)

Beneath the altar in this side chapel is the body of St. Philip Neri (†1595), founder of the Oratorians.  The church is Santa Maria in Vallicella, more commonly called Chiesa Nuova.  The saint's rooms and many of his possessions are also kept in the neighboring oratory. Beneath the high altar of the church are relics of Sts. Papias and Maurus, both Roman soldiers.
