Today is the Feast of St .Luke the Evangelist.
Here is his sarcophagus in the Basilica of Santa Giustina in Padua. Above the sacrcophagus is an image of Our Lady of Constantinople.
Many images of Our Lady are attributed to St. Luke, including the “Salus Populi Romani” (Salvation of the Roman People) in Santa Maria Maggiore, and “Our Lady of Perpetual Help” in Sant’Alfonso. Both churches are in Rome.
In addition to St. Anthony, there are quite a few other saints buried in Padua.
There is also the great Capuchin, St. Leopold Mandic.
The sarcophagus of St. Matthias the Apostle is across from that of St. Luke.
There are other saints in the Basilica of Santa Giustina.
Here are some other photos of the basilica.
