“The Marian Secret The Holy Spirit Revealed To St. Louis De Montfort… But Not To Most Of The Other Saints”

St. Louis de Montfort wrote…

“Predestinate soul, here is a secret the Most High has taught me, which I have not been able to find in any book, old or new. I confide it to you, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit” (“The Secret of Mary”, #1).

And he said this secret is “more glorious to God, more sanctifying to the soul, and more useful to our neighbor, than any other of the devotions to her” (“True Devotion to Mary”, #118).

He pointed out that it doesn’t take much to obtain great benefits and achieve great glory in heaven from this Marian devotion…

“It would be no wonder if, at the hour of death, it should be found that a person faithful to this practice shall, by the means of it, have delivered many souls from Purgatory, and converted many sinners, though he shall have done nothing more than the ordinary actions of his state of life. What joy at his judgment! What glory in his eternity!” (True Devotion, #172)

On the other hand, he says this devotion is “a mystery of grace unknown to even the wisest and most spiritual among Christians” (True Devotion, #21)… and…

It’s “a secret unknown to almost all Christians, even the most devout” (True Devotion, #177).

And he also points out…

“As the essential of this devotion consists in the interior which it ought to form, it will not be equally comprehended by everybody. Some will stop at what is exterior in it, and will go no further, and these will be the greatest number” (True Devotion, #119).

“I have found many people who, with admirable zeal, have adopted the exterior practices of this holy slavery of Jesus and Mary, but I have found only a few who have accepted its interior spirit, and still fewer who have persevered in it” (Secret, #44).

So, you can see from his last two statements that the primary cause of people not getting the full benefits of this secret Marian devotion is their not grasping its interior character. But that’s no reason to ignore it. On the contrary, St. Louis encouraged you to embrace it when he said…

“It is a path trodden by Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, our sole Head. One of His members cannot deceive himself. It is an easy road, because of the fullness of the grace and unction of the Holy Ghost which fills it to overflowing.

“No one wearies there; no one walking there has ever to retrace his steps. It is a short road, which leads us to Jesus in a little time. It is a perfect road, where there is no mud, no dust, nor the least spot of sin.

“Lastly, it is a secure road, which conducts us to Jesus Christ and life eternal in a straight and secure manner, without turning to the right hand or to the left. Let us, then, set forth upon that road, and walk there day and night, until we come to the fullness of the age of Jesus Christ” (True Devotion, #168).

And that’s why I’m writing to you today.

So that I can help you understand and grasp the interior character of this secret Marian devotion… and… ultimately attain great glory in heaven.

My name is Casimir Valla. I am a member of several Marian Confraternities.

On December 8, 1989, I enthusiastically made my consecration to Jesus through Mary. And almost straightaway began to fail at it… just like St. Louis said most people do.

Frustrated by my lack of progress, I began searching everywhere for any books that might help me. There was practically nothing in English. And what little there was, was out of print.

My search eventually led me to Rome where I had a meeting with Fr. Battista Cortinovis, who was the Superior General of the Montfort Fathers. (I’m not sure if he still is.) As you would expect, he pointed me to the best resources for understanding St. Louis’ Marian spirituality. Not surprisingly, they were all in French. And they were written by what can be called an All-Star Team of the Montfortian spirituality.

While in Rome, I also had the good pleasure of meeting Fr. Etienne Richer, a member of the Community of the Beatitudes. He gave me a copy of his doctoral dissertation on St. Louis de Montfort. This pointed me to even more excellent resources on the Montfortian spirituality.

Since St. Louis said most don’t grasp the interior character of this devotion… and… very few persevere, I’ve gathered and translated them and put them into a collection called the…

“True Devotion to Mary Series”

This is the only comprehensive series in existence which explains St. Louis’ Marian spirituality from A to Z. It gives your Marian devotion the precision of a Swiss watch.

And the “True Devotion to Mary Series” doesn’t rely on a single Marian “guru”. No. Instead it brings you the top experts (those with the best track records) in every part of St. Louis’ Marian spirituality. These men are brilliant.

Just as in sports, one superstar on a team is hardly ever enough. But when you’ve got a group of outstanding players, working together as a unit, something happens that transcends the abilities of any one player, however great he may be. And that is exactly the situation with the authors in the “True Devotion to Mary Series”.

Who are they?

Well, there’s Montfort Father Jean-Marie Texier, author “Preparation for Consecration to the Most Blessed Virgin”, “To Jesus Through Mary”, “Preparation for Holy Communion with Mary in the Spirit of Blessed de Montfort”, and “Thanksgiving With Mary In The Spirit Of St. Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort”.

Here’s what the Montfort Fathers say about him:

“He loved the Most Blessed Virgin with the heart of a child; he spoke of her with the heart of his Blessed Father (St. Louis de Montfort).

And in the “History of the Company of Mary” (a history of the Montfort Fathers), they call him “a remarkable spiritual writer.”

Then there’s Montfort Father Antonin Lhoumeau, who wrote “The Virgin Mary and the Apostles of the Last Times”.

The Montfort Fathers say…

“Abbé Antonin Lhoumeau was a man gifted with great talents. Fr. Lhoumeau made an enormous contribution to the spread of Marian spirituality. He wrote books which were very well received, and greatly encouraged the creation of reviews in the various countries where the Montfort Missionaries were present. He himself, while an Assistant, had launched in France the review “Le Règne de Jésus par Marie” (The Reign of Jesus through Mary).”

There’s also Montfort Father Armand Plessis, author of the “Commentary on the Treatise on the True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin”.

He has the distinction of having his book being the only one the Montfort Fathers call “essential” to understanding St. Louis’ Marian spirituality.

Here’s what the Montfort Fathers say about his Commentary:

“The “Commentary on the Treatise on the True Devotion” points out everything the reader must know or remember in order to penetrate completely the immortal masterpiece of St. Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort. It is an essential book for whoever desires to learn the Perfect Devotion.”

They went on to say that it “furnishes to readers everything they must know in order to understand and taste the doctrine of Bl. Louis-Marie de Montfort.”

That’s just a sample of the respected authors in this Series. There are others as well.

And, holding all this together, is Fr. Henri-Marie Boudon, who doesn’t take a back seat to anybody when it comes to Marian devotion. He wrote “The Holy Slavery of the Admirable Mother of God”. This was St. Louis’ favorite Marian book. In fact, without this book, we might not have the other books in this Series.

This book had such a profound influence on St. Louis that Canon Blain, his best friend said…

“As Louis-Marie devoted a lot of time to spiritual reading, he became familiar with nearly all books dealing with the spiritual life. Those which in my opinion were his favorites were those by the late Fr. Boudon. He would have liked everybody to join the society of the slaves of the Blessed Virgin. The source of this zeal was the book (“The Holy Slavery of the Admirable Mother of God”) written on this subject by the late Fr. Boudon.”

And the aforementioned Father Texier wrote…

“The writings of this holy priest (Fr. Boudon) charmed the fervent seminarian (St. Louis-Marie) in his free time and gave a lively impulse to his momentum toward the good. But none captivated him as much as “The Holy Slavery of the Admirable Mother of God”. It is a rich repertoire from which Montfort drew extensively when he composed his Treatise on the True Devotion. One finds, in effect, in the writings of Montfort, the thoughts of Boudon, and sometimes even his expressions.”

How’s that for a team of Marian authors?

“Who Needs These Secrets Of Marian Devotion?”

First of all, it’s for those who don’t want to be deceived or put their eternal salvation at risk.

Because St. Louis warns…

“There are at this time, more than ever, false devotions to our Blessed Lady which it is easy to mistake for true ones. The devil, like a counterfeiter and a subtle and experienced deceiver, has already deceived and destroyed so many souls by a false devotion to the Blessed Virgin, that he makes a daily use of his diabolical experience to plunge many others by this same way into everlasting perdition.

“As a counterfeiter does not ordinarily counterfeit anything but gold and silver, or very rarely the other metals, because they are not worth the trouble, so the evil spirit does not for the most part counterfeit the other devotions, but only those to Jesus and Mary, the devotion to Holy Communion, and to our Blessed Lady, because they are, among other devotions, what gold and silver are amongst metals” (True Devotion, #90).

They’re also for anyone who wants to fill in the gaps St. Louis admits are in his “True Devotion to Mary”. As you know, he said…

“I have now said many things about the Most Holy Virgin; but I have many more to say, and there are infinitely more which I shall omit, whether from ignorance, inability, or want of time, in the design which I have to form a true client of Mary, and a true disciple of Jesus Christ” (True Devotion, #111).

It’s also for those who want to make their lives easier (as I mentioned above I would show you).

St. Louis said…

“This devotion is an easy, short, perfect, and secure way of arriving at union with Our Lord, in which the perfection of a Christian consists” (True Devotion, #152).

He calls it “a path of roses and honey compared with the other paths” (True Devotion, #152).

Now… you don’t have to follow this way. But he says there are consequences.

“It is true that we can attain to divine union by other roads; but it is by many more crosses and exceptional setbacks, and with many more difficulties, which we shall find it hard to overcome” (True Devotion, #152).

He then pointed out that most of the Saints didn’t know this secret Marian devotion, and had to suffer a lot more because they didn’t know it. Listen…

“There have been some Saints, but they have been in small numbers, who have passed by this sweet path to go to Jesus, because the Holy Ghost, faithful Spouse of Mary, has by a singular grace disclosed it to them.

“But the rest of the Saints, who are the greater number, although they have all had devotion to our Blessed Lady, have not on that account, or at least very little, entered upon this way. This is why they have had to pass through ruder and more dangerous trials” (True Devotion, #152).

So, you can take the hard path or the easy path. Both take you to the same destination. But why spend years on the hard path, with no guarantee of success? Especially when you’ve already seen that Jesus shows you the easy path?

Why would you ever do something the hard way? Why would you ever knowingly get behind the eight ball, deliberately crawl between a rock and a hard place, or intentionally work with one hand tied behind your back? Or drive with the parking brake on?

You wouldn’t. But most people unwittingly do this every day in their Marian devotion.

That’s why St. Louis says…

“Having, then, before our eyes an example so plain and so well-known to the whole world, are we so senseless as to imagine that we can find a more perfect or a shorter means of glorifying God than that of submitting ourselves to Mary, after the example of her Son?” (True Devotion, #139)

On the other hand, the “True Devotion to Mary Series” brings you a unique and fresh perspective on every aspect of this Marian devotion. And that’s why this Series is like no other in the world. (In fact, there is no other series on this subject in the world.)

“Put Me In Coach”

Think about all the things we do in our lives. Is it easier to learn on our own or with a teacher or coach?

When you started to play a musical instrument, you learned a few things on your own. But what happened when you went for lessons? It was so much easier and faster to learn how to play.

What about when you started playing a sport? It was the same thing. You could learn the basics on your own, but to really learn the skill and craft, you needed your coach.

To really pull back the layers on the techniques and strategies to achieve the ultimate success in Marian devotion, we need to learn from a master. And masters are what you get in this Series.

With the exception of Fr. Boudon, who wrote before St. Louis, these authors literally devoted their lives to intensive, extensive daily immersion in St. Louis’ Marian spirituality. And with all of them, their high intelligence and God-given insight enables them to explain with stunning accuracy the secret which the Holy Spirit revealed to St. Louis.

“Must Reading”

Quite simply, these books are “must” reading!

I published the “True Devotion to Mary Series” with one goal in mind and that is…

To Help You Grasp And Understand The Interior Character Of This Marian Devotion, So That You Can Experience All The Benefits Of Marian Consecration!

There’s no doubt about it; this is truly the Series (It’s the only one, in fact) for Marian devotees who want to live their consecration to Mary in the smartest way possible. Every book gives you unique, little-known information and strategies that you will never read in any other books on Marian consecration.

Everything essential is covered – and covered intelligently. In fact, I guarantee that you’ll never be at a loss for anything you want to know about Marian consecration and devotion.

Is this Series for you? I think so. Because St. Louis said he taught this devotion to everyone “in public and private” (True Devotion, #111). So, yes. This is for you.

And if the testimonials and endorsements of the Montfort Fathers count for anything, there isn’t a “dead spot” in the entire collection. There isn’t a “theorist” in the bunch.

There is no second-hand information in this Series. But you do get practical, proven secrets that worked for St. Louis de Montfort and others and which can work for you – once you know what they are.

St. Louis promised…

“By this practice, faithfully observed, you will give Jesus more glory in a month than by any other practice, however difficult, in many years” (True Devotion, #222).

Do you know any other Marian devotion (taught anywhere by anybody) that can produce these results?

So, why waste years of your life, which you don’t have to waste if you embrace this devotion?

These books are easier to use, easier to read, and easier to understand. You must see for yourself what you’ve been missing.

Well, that’s it. You’ve just read a complete description of the “True Devotion to Mary Series” and what it can do for you. These books have been endorsed by the highest authorities and experts in St. Louis de Montfort’s Marian spirituality.

And, please don’t forget: When you order any book, you’re protected by Amazon’s iron-clad guarantee. What I mean is this: If you are dissatisfied with any book, for any reason whatsoever, just return it within 30-days for a refund… with no questions asked.

How Much Are These Books?

Consider what St. Louis said about living this devotion…

“To understand the excellence of this motive, we must understand also what a good it is to convert a sinner, or to deliver a soul from Purgatory. It is an infinite good, which is greater than to create heaven and earth, because we give to a soul the possession of God.

“If by this practice we deliver but one soul in our life from Purgatory, or convert but one sinner, would not that be enough to induce a truly charitable man to embrace it?” (True Devotion, #172)

This Series gives you the opportunity to do something “which is greater than to create heaven and earth.” So, actually, compared to what you get, the cost is a lot less than you’d expect. And when you click here, I am sure you are going to be very pleasantly surprised.

Now Is The Time To Start

Jesus’ last words to mankind were: “Behold your Mother.”

And whenever He told someone to do something, He never intended for them to go away and think about it. He always insisted on immediate action.

In fact, there’s not a single instance in the Bible where God told someone to do something without expecting immediate action. He never tolerated a delay (Jonah tried to delay at Nineveh, but God was having none of it).

Why not get started now while you are still on this website? You can do so by clicking here.

One last thing.

St. Louis de Montfort says…

“Experience will teach you much more about this devotion than I can tell you; and if you remain faithful to the little I have taught you, you will find so many rich fruits of grace in this practice that you will be surprised and filled with joy” (Secret, #53).

“Only experience can teach the wonders wrought by Mary, wonders so great that neither the wise nor the proud, nor even many of the devout can believe them” (Secret, #57).

May Our Lady fill your life with love, joy, and happiness!

“How To Let The Blessed Virgin Mary Work Great Wonders In You”

Do you find it hard to make progress in living your consecration to Mary despite your best efforts? Do you feel any closer to experiencing the effects St. Louis de Montfort describes when you’re faithful to your consecration?

For example, he says…

“This devotion, faithfully practiced, produces many happy effects in the soul. The most important of them all is that it establishes, even here below, Mary’s life in the soul, so that it is no longer the soul that lives, but Mary living in it; for Mary’s life becomes its life. And when, by an unspeakable yet real grace, the Blessed Virgin is Queen in a soul, what wonders does she not work there!” (“Secret of Mary”, #55)

“Do not think, dear soul, that Mary, the most fruitful of all pure creatures, who has brought forth even a God, remains idle in a faithful soul. She will cause Jesus Christ to live in that soul, and the soul to live in constant union with Jesus Christ” (Secret, #56).

If you’re not experiencing these effects, it’s probably because you haven’t been shown how to grasp the interior spirit of this devotion.

St. Louis says this happens to most people who make their consecration to Mary.

“I have found many people who, with admirable zeal, have adopted the exterior practices of this holy slavery of Jesus and Mary, but I have found only a few who have accepted its interior spirit, and still fewer who have persevered in it” (Secret, #44).

“As the essential of this devotion consists in the interior which it ought to form, it will not be equally comprehended by everybody. Some will stop at what is exterior in it, and will go no further, and these will be the greatest number.

“Some, in small number, will enter into its inward spirit; but they will only mount but one step. Who will mount to the second step? Who will get as far as the third? Lastly, who will so advance as to make this devotion his habitual state?” (“True Devotion to Mary”, #119)

What’s more, he says most of the Saints didn’t know it either. And as a result, they had to endure more sufferings.

So, this might explain why reading the writings of the Saints may not have helped you as much as you would’ve liked… or expected.

Now, you’re completely free to try to apply what you do learn in their writings. In fact, St. Louis says…

“It is true that we can attain to divine union by other roads…” (True Devotion, #152).

But, he immediately adds…

“…but it is by many more crosses and strange deaths, and with many more difficulties, which we shall find it hard to overcome. We must pass through obscure nights, through combats, through strange agonies, over craggy mountains, through cruel thorns, and over frightful deserts” (True Devotion, #152).

He also points out other serious risks if you don’t grasp the interior spirit of your consecration to Mary…

“Because the devils, who are skillful thieves, wish to surprise us unawares, and to strip us. They watch day and night for the favorable moment. For that end they go round about us incessantly to devour us, and to snatch from us in one moment, by a sin, all that we have gained of graces and of merits for many years.

“Their malice, their experience, their stratagems, and their number, ought to make us fear immensely this misfortune, especially when we see how many persons, fuller of grace than we are, richer in virtues, better founded in experience, and far higher exalted in sanctity, have been surprised, robbed, and unhappily pillaged” (True Devotion, #88).

He continues…

“There are at this time, more than ever, false devotions to our Blessed Lady, which it is easy to mistake for true ones. The devil, like a false coiner and a subtle and experienced deceiver, has already deceived and destroyed so many souls by a false devotion to the Blessed Virgin, that he makes a daily use of his diabolical experience to plunge many others by this same way into everlasting perdition.

“As a counterfeiter does not ordinarily counterfeit anything but gold and silver…, so the evil spirit does not for the most part counterfeit the other devotions, but only those to Jesus and Mary,… because they are, among other devotions, what gold and silver are amongst metals” (True Devotion, #90).

On the other hand, he does say…

“This devotion is an easy, short, perfect, and secure way of arriving at union with Our Lord, in which the perfection of a Christian consists” (True Devotion, #152).

And he calls this devotion “a path of roses and honey compared with the other paths” (True Devotion, #152).

Then he says…

“It is a path trodden by Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, our sole Head. One of His members in passing by the same road cannot deceive himself. It is an easy road, because of the fullness of the grace and unction of the Holy Ghost, which fills it to overflowing. No one wearies there; no one walking there ever has to retrace his steps.

“It is a short road, which leads us to Jesus in a little time. It is a perfect road, where there is no mud, no dust, nor the least spot of sin. Lastly, it is a secure road, which conducts us to Jesus Christ and life eternal in a straight and secure manner, without turning to the right hand or to the left.

“Let us, then, set forth upon that road, and walk there day and night, until we come to the fullness of the age of Jesus Christ” (#168).

So, how can you set forth upon this easy, short, perfect, and secure road to union with Jesus, without falling into the traps the devils set for you?

Well, here’s…

==> A few resources the Montfort Fathers recommend, and even St. Louis de Montfort’s favorite.

And when you grasp the interior spirit of your consecration to Mary, St. Louis promises…

“To sum up, Mary becomes everything to that soul in the service of Jesus Christ. Only experience can teach the wonders wrought by Mary, wonders so great that neither the wise nor the proud, nor even many of the devout can believe them” (Secret, #57).
